UK-built mobile elevating work platforms, on a chassis you can specify.
CPL has been building MEWPs in Kettering since the early 90s. Sixty per cent of every unit we ship leaves a CPL workshop — the rest is fitted by us, in the UK. We hold chassis slots with Ford, Mercedes and Isuzu, and we're an IPAF rental+ and training centre.
The shop floor in Kettering
CPL operates 31,000 sq ft of manufacturing space in Kettering. The shop is laid out for two parallel build lanes — chassis preparation at the front, platform fit and outrigger fabrication in the middle, livery and IPAF sign-off at the back. Three of those lanes can run a high-volume fleet programme without interrupting standard one-off builds.
Chassis slots, not chassis promises
We hold rolling slots with Ford for the Transit and Transit Custom, with Mercedes for the Sprinter, and with Isuzu for the D-Max pick-up and the N75 truck chassis. When the configurator gives you a 6-week lead time, that's the dispatch date — not the date the queue starts.
Part of the KLUBB Group
CPL joined the KLUBB Group in 2025 — a European network of MEWP manufacturers and converters. We're still built in Kettering, but the platform side of the build now flows through the wider group's engineering and parts supply. Shorter lead times, broader range, same workshop.
IPAF rental+ and training centre
Re-accredited in 2025 for another three years. Every unit is signed off by our approved engineer before it leaves the yard. We also run operator training on-site for customer fleets — useful when twenty new units arrive at once and you need consistent IPAF certification across the team.
